DeLAND, Fla. – A single-vehicle crash early Sunday in DeLand sent four people to the hospital, according to firefighters.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. at the intersection of South Julia and West Voorhis avenues, the DeLand Fire Department said on social media. The car struck several trees and one of its occupants was ejected in the crash, the post states.
Of the four people who were hospitalized, two were transported as trauma alerts, firefighters said.
Photos of the crash, shared by the fire department, show a four-door vehicle with heavy damage to its front and left sides.
Volusia County EMS assisted DeLand firefighters at the scene, according to the post.
No other details of what led up to the crash, nor anything further on the patients’ conditions, have been shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
