ORLANDO, Fla. – Two Central Florida service organizations are working to help young girls who have been victims of human trafficking.
Images of Glory has been serving the community for more than 20 years, but for the last seven years, they’ve been helping young girls who have been victims of labor and sex trafficking not only get back into the community, but get back with their families.
“Some of them say they have not been sex trafficking and they actually have,” said Images of Glory CEO, Katherine Norfleet.
Norfleet said her clients usually range from 12 to 17 years old.

The organization offers a residential program. Their goal is to set up the girls with a bright future after healing the impacts of what they’ve been through.
Not only does Images of Glory provide the girls with a safe place to sleep, but they teach them career planning, life skills and job training, as well as offer counseling to the girls several times a week.
“What it is, their mindset has changed and the change is on their mind and we want to release that and teach them different,” Norfleet said.
The Junior League of Greater Orlando is stepping in to provide more support through its “Find The Good” supply drive. Through an Amazon wish list, the group is collecting items like card games, clothes and hygiene supplies.
“Our organization is able to give back in a way that we feel like is fruitful, that is impactful, and that is valuable to the individuals in our community,” said JLGO President Angela White-Jones.
While the supply drive ends on Sunday, the group’s time with Images of Glory is far from over as they’ll continue to mentor the young girls.
“They’re just enjoying them and that’s so important to me,” Norfleet said.
According to White-Jones, JLGO enjoys working with organizations like Images of Glory, which are providing a positive space for girls who have been through adversity.
“It makes my heart full, it makes our members’ hearts really full, to be able to connect with an organization that has been doing it as long as Images of Glory has been doing it,” White-Jones said.
