EDGEWATER, Fla. – A woman was killed on Thursday evening in Edgewater as part of a “domestic disturbance,” according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
In a release, deputies said the shooting happened at a home off Liza Clinton Road, and it was reported around 5:10 p.m.
While no information was provided about what exactly led to the shooting, investigators announced that the “adult male shooter” received treatment at the scene for a “minor injury,” and he is set to be interviewed by detectives.
No additional information has been provided at this time, including the suspected shooter’s name.
